Eastside Dave Calhoun Show August 26

This week I’ll be playing at the Lake Wilderness Amphitheater in Maple Valley on Thursday,
August 26th from 6:30-8:30pm so if you East Side folks are looking for something to do on a
Thursday night, this might be fun.  They’re expecting 2500 people so get there as early as you
can for the best seats (I would imagine, I’ve never seen the place).

Freaky Tiki Friday South Sound

Join the club and welcome Dave Calhoun to Woody’s on the Water in Tacoma for Happy Hour on Friday, August 27th from 7-10 p.m.

One More Wednesday with Ian Dobson

Island Time Oasis-End of Summer Party

We’ve had a wonderful time playing every Wednesday night at the Willows lodge this summer (and last).  All good things must come to an end though.
This Wednesday, August 25th, is scheduled to be our last “Island Time Oasis” at the Willows Lodge for summer 2010.  However, let it be known that we Pan Leggo Musicians of course would not object at all if a bunch of you suggested to the Willows management that you really think they should continue having us present our weekly Island Time Oasis show.

For now though, come on down to our final and grandest “Island Time Oasis” for the summer of 2010 at the sophisticated and elegant Willows Lodge, just across the street from Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville, WA.  We want to make it a fun and elegant end-of-summer-party!

As always, this show will be a mid-week Caribbean escape where you can savor the elegance and beauty of Seattle’s wine country with fine wine, great food, and the lovely earthy sounds of the wooden marimba mixed with the tropical, ethereal sounds of the steel drum.  I will be playing steel pan and other percussion and lending my vocal stylings to the music.  The multi-talented Christian Krehbiel will be featured on marimba, steel pan, and percussion.  The East Side’s very own well-known drummer, marimba player, and drum teacher, Frank Heye will be creating some lovely sounds, and our awesome bass player Doug Pierson will be managing the lower frequencies.  There will be no better way to spend the final Wednesday in August!

Remember to get your Pan Leggo Passport (get 4 stamps on your passport by going to 4 Pan Leggo shows and get a free CD, a steel drum lesson, a dance lesson, or other prizes).  It’s the same concept as your stamp card at the local coffee shop
Hope to see you Wednesday!
Ian
