WELCOME NEW MEMBERS:

A hearty welcome and raised boat drink to our newest member, Tom Kretzler!  Tom is an IT Manager who has two grown keets, Erin 21 and Kacey who is 18.  He likes to ski, run and geocache (we’ll never get lost with Tom around).  His favorite charity is NW Harvest.  Welcome Tom, hope to see you at an event soon!

NEW:  Congratulations to Phil and Kathy Pompeo who are the winners of last quarter’s membership recruitment contest, bringing in three new members!  For their efforts they received a $50 Bahama Breeze gift card!

 

BOD NOMINATIONS:  Please email your nominations to Karren Franckowiak at tropikarn@hotmail.com   Nominations will be accepted from

January 1 through January 21, 2010.  Job descriptions are in the by-laws (on phops.com, under Club Business link) and you must be a PHoPS member in good standing for at least six months to qualify.  Positions open for election are:  President, Treasurer, Communications Director, Membership Director, and Fund Raising Director.

 

Proposed By Law Changes are now posted at phops.com please review.  These changes will be voted on at the February Business Meeting.

TONIGHT!  January 13, 2010 – Board of Director’s Meeting

 

All club members are welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly Board meetings.  Meeting starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. at the Southcenter Azteca, come early for socializing.   Agenda items include:  Website, nominations for parrot head of the year award, RFP for Laid Back Attack, current volunteer opportunities, and by-laws changes.  For more information contact President Bobi Atlee at prez@phops.com

SAVE THE DATE!  FIRST 2010 BUSINESS MEETING – February 28, 2010

 

This will be the first of two business meetings for our club during 2010.  It’s vital that everyone attend so that you can all weigh in on things that are important to you.  We will be announcing our 2010 officers, revising our club by-laws and many other important club issues will be discussed.  Location and time to be announced.

LAST BUT NEVER LEAST:  Ad rates as of January 1, 2010 – $1 per week, ads may run for one week $1, four weeks $4, half yearly $26 and full year $52 – All money raised through ad sales will be donated to charity.

 

What is considered advertising?  If you are going to directly make money,  through what you want to put in HDN, it is considered to be advertising:  Promoting books, CD’s, or your services for example.  Other examples include, selling cosmetics, real estate, roofing supplies, a litter of puppies, or your boat/car/vacation home.  If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask!  communications@phops.com
