| Mark Mulligan The rain already getting you down? Try 'Goin Coastal', 'Somewhere South of Somewhere'. Mexico Mark is from the Phoenix, Arizona area and makes his home with his family down Mexico way on The Sea of Cortez! Another of the growing PHOPS phlock favorites. |
Larry Joe Taylor LJT's new CD Summer Days is preceded by Port A to Port B, Heart of the Matter, First Row, Third Coast, Coastal & Western, Terlingua Sky and This One's for You... all of which incorporate elements of country, reggae, blues, rock & roll and an occasional twist of 50's doo-wapp. "Larry Joe Taylor's music sounds something like Jerry Jeff Walker meeting Jimmy Buffett at a party in Terlingua." -Jim Beal, Jr. (San Antonio Express News) |
| Living Soul & The Pearl Divers Starting in 1991, Don Middlebrook and Living Soul began a musical quest up and down the west coast of Michigan with little idea of where it might lead. Always directed by a new song, a new adventure, and an occasional cold beer, what began as fun and frolic has turned into thirteen years of travel and musical bliss. Don and the band have toured and recorded with Greg "Fingers" Taylor, Jimmy Buffett's harmonica player for twenty-six years. In 2004, Don had two compositions in a Showtime original movie and the road awaits another fun packed year. |
Joe Bennett & The Pirates Of The Vieux Carre New Orleans, the city that care forgot. Cultures from all over the Caribbean mix here in a gumbo, flavored with spices of exotic islands. The Vieux Carre; the French Quarter is the heart of New Orleans. It is also the home of Joe Bennett. His songs are fed by the energy of this town. He's a troubadour of the tropics and his music is as diverse as the characters he sings about. From the rockin', damn the torpedoes anthem "Live Now Pay Later", to the infectious calypso party, "Jamaican Me Crazy". From the instant classic, "Last Night I Dreamed of New Orleans", to the epic masterpiece, "Fifty Dollar Treasure Map", Pirates of the Vieux Carre is a voyage of adventure. Joe Bennett has lived these songs, so sign on for the cruise and you can live them for a while too!! |
| Brent Burns Brent Burns is a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and performer based out of Gulf Shores, Alabama. His CD, "Tropical Nuts" is a collection of 12 new original songs including, "I'm Goin' Ugly Early Tonight". Brent also has a newly released "Christmas Vacation" CD. This original song collection proves that Brent writes about life and Christmas with quite a humorous slant. As usual, the Caribbean rock artist will make you smile with, "I Got Drunk at the Office Christmas Party", "Cashin' In On Christmas", and "Christmas in Mexico", but move you with his tribute to Habitat for Humanity entitled, "Build Them a House". |
Kelly McGuire McGuire is known for his original 'gulf coast flavored' songs ranging from country to calypso/tropical, folk and rock. Listening to his music one notices a Jimmy Buffett influence and Kelly readily admits, "after hearing Buffett sing about sailing and islands, I dreamed of getting a boat and writing songs about that whole lifestyle." A few years later his dream began to materialize. Growing up in Missouri, McGuire ended up performing in Dallas. Kelly soon made the move to the Clear Lake area after what began as just a two-week gig in Houston. While there he discovered Galveston Bay and the Seabrook/Kemah area. Moving up his dream ladder he is now immersed in the boating world daytime and sings at night. Kelly has recorded in Nashville and was awarded the 2002 Country Music Association of Texas Artist of the Year. |
| Stars On The Water Stars on the Water performers have played venues from small clubs to Concert Amphitheaters. They have also appeared in Key West, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and of course San Diego. If you have not heard Stars on the Water, you are missing out on a wonderful trio! They know how to work the crowd, and play one of the best renditions of "Lime In The Coconut" that I've ever heard! To top it off, Jerry, Mike and Randy are three of the nicest men we will ever meet! |
Hugo Duarte and the Full Sail Band Hugo was inspired by the acoustic-style rock of the 70s. He called it "country music" because it wasn't a big departure from what he'd grown up with. For him everything just sort of melted together into the origins of his own eclectic style. Hugo is thrilled to have met and developed a professional friendship with the Calypso Poet, Jimmy Buffett. They often played at a locally owned bar called Del Rios, which today is the site of the Margaritaville bar and restaurant. Sometimes other friend-musicians stopped by as well. |
| Dave Calhoun Hi! Glad you could stop by. I am a singer-songwriter playing what is known as Tropical Rock music in the syle of Jimmy Buffett. |
