Other key personnel include David Wetli, Head PGA Golf Professional; Dawn Dempsey, Pro Shop Manager; Jim Wick, On-The-Greens Food & Beverage Director; and Larry and Bob Proctor, Greens Superintendents. Helping Hand House - No Family Without a Home
Helping Hand House was founded in 1984 to ensure that no family in our community would go without a home. When families feel safe and are supported, they can begin the work of re-building their lives. The number of homeless families continues to grow in our area, fed by inadequate housing, poverty, family violence, untreated mental illness and addiction, and poor economic conditions. One missed paycheck, a serious illness, or divorce can tip the balance between having a home and being homeless.

We work to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate fully in community life. Our services foster self-respect, self-sufficiency, and stability. These elements are fundamental for family prosperity. Our programs require families to engage fullyl in the work of making permanent changes in their lives that will result in family health, permanent housing, and sufficient income.

An average of 75% of families who graduate from our programs find and maintain permanent housing and 80% have improved financial conditions. Our goal is that they never need to enter a homeless shelter again.

Hope makes dreams possible. Dreams motivate us to become more than we are. Families who have lost everything have lost hope as well. Through their work at Helping Hand House, they recover their hope. They dream again. And they learn how to make their dreams reality.  www.helpinghandhouse.org
